Today is Jimmy Carter’s 99th Birthday!
He's the longest-living President in U.S. history. Recently, I was speaking in Atlanta and had the chance to check out his Presidential Library.
Many of you know how much I enjoy going to Presidential Libraries, regardless of which party the person represented.
So far, I’ve been to LBJ, Ronald Reagan, Nixon, George W. Bush, FDR, and Jimmy Carter’s libraries/museums.
The thing that blew me away the most about Carter’s life was his response to losing the Presidency.
After his loss, he didn’t roll over and do nothing; he committed his life to serving others. A good portion of his museum is what he did after he was President.
It’s an excellent reminder that even when we lose, we can change our perspective and use it for good.
Check out the picture I took from Carter’s library. You’ll find the replica of how he had his Oval Office.
Have a great Sunday, everyone!
