This is Abraham Lincoln’s bed. Could you imagine all the sleepless nights?

All the tossing and turning.
All the stress.
All the fear.

Why? Well…

-He was defeated for Illinois state legislator in 1832.
-He started a business only to see it go under.
-He lost his run for Congress in 1843 and again in 1848.
-He lost his bid to become a U.S. Senator in 1855.
-He ran for Vice President of the U.S. in 1856 and lost.
-He again ran for the U.S. Senate in 1859 and lost yet again.

Abraham Lincoln was a massive failure.  That’s also why he was a riveting success.

-Earned a spot in the Wrestling Hall of Fame
-He went on to build a successful law practice
-Earned a patent for a device saving steamboats in shallow water

Then, in 1860, his persistence paid off when he won the presidency.

P.S. It was fascinating to tour Lincoln's house in Springfield, IL.

P.P.S. Grit is essential to our success. Keep running.
